Since 2005, Shougang Group had started its steel business relocation and stopped all steel-related operations in the capital by the end of 2010. Today, Shougang Park has successfully transformed from a country-famous steel mill to a modern comprehensive zone housing technology, culture, commerce and sports industries, setting an example of urban renewal for the rest of the world.

One of the most outstanding architecture onside the park is No.3 Blast Furnace Museum which now has been successfully turned into a modern activity spot. It used to be the place where housed the most iron-making equipment, and was discarded for years after the Shougang Group's relocation.

During the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, Big Air Shougang, as the venue for the Freestyle Skiing Big Air and Snowboard Big Air competitions, witnessed the exciting moment of two marvelous Chinese athletes, Gu Ailing and Su Yiming’ championship. When people exclaimed their excellent achievement, this architecture with unique design also attached many people's attention.

There is a gathering place for the coolest people who prefer extreme sports in Shougang Park. Among mottled blast furnaces and pipes, Shougang Extreme Sports Park, as a new trendy landmark, has already become a hot spot for many young people, especially those who are big fans of extreme sports.

Love Reading Art Bookstore (Shougang Park) is built inside the Shougang No.3 Blast Furnace Museum, and it is a trendy, cool, high-tech, fashionable and artsy cultural mecca for young people. The bookstore manages to keep the original facilities as much as possible. Except adding special-shaped steel-structure bookshelves, more than 150 tons of steel plates were welded together and inserted by light-weight colored glass spaces, creating a corridor leading to art space.

Liaocang Immersive Digital Art Museum is situated in Shougang Park, Shijingshan District. It was originally an abandoned warehouse, while after innovation and reconstruction, it has become a four-floor immersive commercial zone, covering an area of 8,000 square meters. The museum focuses on digital art performance and is equipped with catering, Bar, Games as well as other consumption modes.

Constructed on the base of the original Shougang Power Plant, Shangri-La Shougang Park is one of the auxiliary projects of Big Air Shougang. The hotel is situated at the central place of Shougang Park, next to the snowboard Big Air Venue for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and four stadiums of the National Winter Sports Training Center.

As a new commercial landmark in Beijing, Chang’an Mils is co-developed by Shougang Fund and TISHMAN SPEYER. The spot manages to embody the trendy concept of "urban renewal” and endeavors to integrate culture, tourism, sports and arts. Constructed based on a hundred-year-old legacy, Chang’an Mils has a unique natural environment and enjoys a convenient location in the vicinity of Olympic venues.
