670,000 railway passengers expected to be sent from Beijing today

As the holiday comes to an end, the travel fever at major train stations in Beijing remains high. According to the China Railway Beijing Bureau, on May 4th, the bureau is expected to send 1.43 million passengers, of which 670,000 are expected to be sent from the Beijing area.

On May 3rd, the China Railway Beijing Bureau sent a total of 1.376 million passengers, of which 573,000 were sent from the Beijing area (73,000 from Beijing Station, 115,000 from Beijing West Station, 203,000 from Beijing South Station, 28,000 from Beijing North Station, 31,000 from Qinghe Station, 32,000 from Beijing Chaoyang Station, and 57,000 from Beijing Fengtai Station).

On May 4th, the China Railway Beijing Bureau is expected to send 1.43 million passengers, of which 670,000 are expected to be sent from the Beijing area. 86 additional passenger trains are planned to be added, mainly heading towards Shanghai, Taiyuan, Zhengzhou, Shenyang, Qingdao, Xi'an, Jinan, Wuhan, as well as Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Qinhuangdao, Zhangjiakou, and Chengde.

During the holiday period, Beijing South Station has improved the travel experience for passengers by providing 12 self-service mobile phone charging stations for free charging services in the west side passage of the waiting room. There are also 18 express delivery lockers in the security check area at the entrance of the station. Passengers can use the mini program to scan the code and place an order to send items to their destination through self-service express delivery. An emergency communication vehicle has also been added to the station to improve signal quality and ensure smooth communication during peak passenger flow.

Beijing North Station has opened all entrance and exit channels during the May Day holiday, supplemented on-site personnel, and added manual security checks, verification, ticket checking, and exit channels according to passenger flow. The station has also dynamically adjusted the passenger transportation organization mode and passenger flow line at each station, and organized passengers to enter and exit the station quickly and orderly during key time periods and peak passenger flow periods according to established emergency plans.
