Imperial Medicine Gallery is located in the Yonghe Palace of the Palace Museum. The main hall in the front courtyard is named "Yonghe Hall" and the main hall in the back courtyard is named "Tongshun Hall". The east and west supporting halls in the front courtyard are the collections of time-honored TCM and national TCM intangible cultural heritage units as well as the most representative TCM varieties on display, while the east and west supporting halls in the back courtyard are the displays of precious authentic Chinese herbal medicines.

In order to give visitors a glimpse of the mystery of Chinese herbal medical science, two traditional skills making experience courses are offered: perfume bag making and hairy monkey figurine making. Visitors to the museum can not only make vivid hairy monkey figurines and perfume bags from Chinese herbs, but also enjoy the flavor of fragrant Chinese herbs. From cooling off in summer to warding off the epidemic in winter, different herbal formulas emit different fragrances. Every time you smell the fragrance, it is a new smell experience.
