National Aquatics Centre will be another Beijing 2008 legacy venue repurposed for 2022 Winter Olympics. With the nickname as "The Water Cube", the centre in 2008 hosted swimming, diving and synchronized swimming competition. Catering for Beijing 2022 Winter Plympics, the National Aquatics Centre has turned from "The Water Cube" into "The Ice Cube". By taking advantage of cutting-edge technologies, the multi-purpose venue can will be used for both winter and summer sports.

In 2022 Games, it will be the competition venue for curling and wheelchair curling (Paralympic Winter Games).
