The Zhoukoudian Site Museum has a temporary exhibition, basic display and 4D theater, covering interactive science exhibits, simulated scenes, souvenir sales, public services and other contents.

The first exhibition hall mainly introduces the discovery and excavation history of the Zhoukoudian site. The exhibition shows the importance of the Zhoukoudian site through a large number of precious excavation history pictures and introduces the physical characteristics of "Peking Man" and its position in the history of human development. It also uses multimedia to reproduce the excavation scenes of the Zhoukoudian site in the 1980s. The interactive programs here include the phantom skull imaging of "Peking Man" and the comparison of the physical characteristics of "Peking Man" with those of modern man.

The second exhibition hall mainly introduces the production, life and environment of the "Peking Man" period. It shows the natural environment of the Zhoukoudian area 300,000-70,000 years ago and the production and living activities of the "Peking Man" such as using fire, making stone tools, gathering and hunting.

The third exhibition hall introduces the fossil sites where early Homo sapiens and late Homo sapiens were found and recreates the productive lifestyle of the Upper Cave Man with scenes. The interactive programs include a paleontological fossil knowledge inquiry system.
