Grand Canal Forest Park

Grand Canal Forest Park is located on both sides of the North Canal; the trail is approximately 9km in length, beginning at the canal bridge and terminating at Wuxing Road; the road material is asphalt. Plants such as ginkgo, oil pine, yellow poplar, and mulberry are planted along the walkway, and the finest seasons for walking are spring and fall. The intensity of the exercise here is modest, and both young and old people are welcome. Walking and cycling events are frequently organized. Throughout the day, the park is free to enter.

It is a national AAAA-class tourist attraction located on both sides of the North Canal in Tongzhou New Town, Beijing, from the Sixth Ring Road Puyang Bridge in the north to Wukun Bridge in the south, with a river length of about 8.6km. The park planted arbor, shrub, flowers, grass and so forth of up to 200 kinds, enriching the environmental color, which not only makes the park beautiful in every season, but also establishes a natural oxygen bar to the eastern section of Beijing. Each year, the park will hold different events on different festivals to create pleasant festive atmosphere by using different themes of flower beds, flower mirrors, and performances, which should present guests with a lovely and comfortable garden environment.
