Changping New Town Riverside Forest Park covers an area of 398 hectares from Ming Tombs Reservoir in the north to Jingmi Diversion Canal in the south.
In history, there was a large flow of water in this area. With the environmental changes, the present situation of wetlands was formed.
In order to protect and improve the existing ecological environment, Changping District Party Committee and District Government decided to plan and build a 10,000-mu riverside forest park.
The planned investment of the forest park is about 540 million yuan, which is divided into landscaping projects and water conservancy projects. The landscaping project includes about 219,000 newly planted trees, about 183,000 flowers and shrubs, and about 1.33 million square meters of flowers and plants.
