Beijing Botanical Garden was established with the approval of the State Council in 1956, which covered the planning area of 400 hectare, and 195.9 hectare are currently opened to the public.

It is composed of 4 sections, including living plants collections and exhibitions, scientific research and education, historical sites and nature reserve. There are more than 10,000 taxa (including varieties and cultivars) of over 1.5 million living collections.

The living collections and exhibition area are divided into three parts: ornamental plant gardens, arboretum, conservatory and green houses.

By Subway: Take Subway Xijiao Line to Zhi Wu Yuan Station

By Bus: Take Bus No. 331 or 630 to Fragrant Spring Roundabout Station, then walk west about 400 meters to the Southeast Gate of Beijing Botanical Garden; or take Bus No. 563, 932, 318, Express 360, 360, 698 or 505 to south gate of Beijing Botanical Garden.

Reservation: During the pandemic period, tickets are not sold on spot. Reservation should be made on official website in advance
