Shangfangshan (the Top of a Mountain) National Forest Park is located in Fangshan District, Beijing. The main peak is 860 meters above sea level, with a total area of 340 hectares, and the forest coverage rate is over 90%.
There are 625 species of plants, including 20 varieties or variants, including Chinese unique and rare plants. With a history of 2000 years of Buddhist culture, Shangfangshan Mountain has a comprehensive national forest park integrating nature, Buddhism and karst caves, and is a comprehensive scenic spot integrating mountains, forests, caves, temples, springs, museums and pits. It has been designated as one of the 20 demonstration forest parks in China and a green gym in Beijing Southwest Natural Botanical Garden.
