Yangtaishan Scenic Area, located in Bei’anhe Township, Haidian District, is a scenic spot with Miaofengshan ancient road as its main line, and opened in 1997. It is 17 km away from the Summer Palace and covers an area of 26 square kilometers. The main peak of Yangtaishan Mountain is 1278 meters above sea level. It is adjacent to Jiufeng National Forest Park in the south and Fenghuangling Scenic Area in the north. Its forest coverage rate is 94%, and famous apricot trees account for 51%. The scenic spot is one of the best sunrise viewing places in Beijing suburbs. Yangtaishan Scenic Area is especially suitable for organizing large-scale mountaineering and fitness activities, and the Ritan Lake in the scenic area is a good place for tourists to fish.
