Planted in the 4th Xianyong year of the Liao Dynasty (1068) and thus with a history of some 1,000 years, the tree is over 30-meter high and has a perimeter of 7.8 meters. The splendid “Ginkgo King” has a crest piercing into the sky and shade covering the whole compound. The sunlight would shine through the leaves, making it tempting to feel them with your hands.
