Every spring, peach flowers, winter jasmines and lilac flowers in Beigong National Forest Park bloom one after another. They present an amazing picture of spring in Beigong National Forest Park where mountain flowers are in full bloom.

Beigong National Forest Park is located in the northwest of Fengtai District. It is adjacent to Lugou Bridge in the east, Qinglong Lake in the west and Jietai Temple in the north. With a planned area of 8 square kilometers, it will have seven functional areas: sightseeing and picking area, country leisure and vacation area, country fitness and mountain competitions area, military science popularization area, youth forestry science popularization summer and winter camp, special species breeding demonstration base and forest park management and service center.

The park is characterized by undulating terrain, scattered peaks, deep valleys, luxuriant trees, towering mountains, zigzagging rivers, tweeting birds and fragrant flowers. The majestic main peak Langpo Peak stands at an altitude of 349.8 meters. Adjacent to Lugou Bridge in the east, Qianling Mountain in the west, Aerospace Town in the south, and Jietai Temple in the north, it is a tourist attraction for "watching the Big Dipper in the sky and admiring Beigong on earth".

The park covers a total area of 9.145 square kilometers, consisting of the eastern, western and central scenic spots and two 10,000 square meter supporting facilities: Beigong Villa and Mingsheng Building. There are 12 pavilions, corridors, towers and other cultural landscapes in the park, as well as 15 scenic spots such as Fangze Creek, Little Jiangnan, Fenglin Road and Hualin Gully. It has a landscaped area of 3,000 mu, 21 species of high-quality trees (36,000 plants), 30 species of wild flowers in an area of over 50,000 square meters, and 253 species of plants—a highlight of the ecological campaign in the western part of the capital.
