Beijing has ushered in a special spring this year. Although the capital city has been making progress in curbing the coronavirus spread, people are venturing out with caution.

On Chang'an Avenue, right next to Tian'anmen Square, magnolia flowers are blooming under the sunlight.

In Yuyuantan Park, which is not far away from the magnolia trees, the annual cherry blossom festival has been canceled because of  the pandemic.

However, people are confident. Flower-loving visitors from China and Canada, Germany, Japan, Vietnam all agree that the world will be able to overcome the virus.
