China's national art museum to salute donors with exhibition

The National Art Museum of China will display over 850 works of more than 700 artists including Pablo Picasso at its new year exhibition to open on Jan. 19.

The exhibition is held to salute the donors, said Wu Weishan, curator of the museum.

Covering various art styles including Chinese paintings, oil paintings, sculptures and photographs, the artworks on display were selected from more than 30,000 pieces of donations that the museum has received since 1961.
