NCPA drama "February" to be staged in Beijing

China's National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) will stage "February," a drama adapted from a well-known novella of the same name by Chinese writer Rou Shi, between Jan. 15 and 22 in Beijing.

Set in Furong Town, China, in the 1920s, the play portrays the early spring of the town and tells the life experience and perception of an intellectual Xiao Jianqiu.

Its director Li Liuyi said the drama will follow three main narrative lines: the story, music and the general public, with music playing an important part.
