  • Ming Dynasty City Wall Relics Park

The Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) Wall Relics Park is located in downtown Beijing, spanning from Southeastern Corner Tower on the east to Chongwenmen on the west. Over 580 years have passed since the 17th year of Yongle (1419 AD), when the construction of the 40 kilometers long wall started. Between Southeastern Corner Tower and Chongwenmen, the 1.5 kilometers spanning relics used to be a part of the inner wall of Beijing and now serve as the symbol of the city. Built in the 1st year of Zhengtong (1436 AD), Southeastern Corner Tower is the largest corner tower of the city wall and a major historical and cultural site protected at the national level.

  • Summer Palace

In early spring, it gets warmer in Beijing. The Summer Palace fully falls into the scenery of spring, and winter jasmine flowers burst into bloom competitively and contend in beauty and fascination, welcoming the beginning of spring. Under the sunset, blooming flowers with fragrance can only be seen in the Summer Palace during spring.

 The Summer Palace, whose predecessor was Qingyi Garden, is the largest and best-preserved royal garden with southern China landscaping features. Perched on the Longevity Hill and by Kunming Lake side, the garden takes after the design of the West Lake in Hangzhou.  The natural landscape of hills and open waters is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value. Recently, this palace has attracted thousands of tourists hoping to catch sight of the setting sun shining through the Seventeen-Arch Bridge over the frozen Kunming Lake.

  • Beijing Botanical Garden 

Beijing Botanical Garden is famous for a blend of flowers and rare herbs from all over the world, including winter jasmine. Beijing Botanical Garden, located near the Xishan Wofo Temple, consists of the Plant Exhibition Area, the Scientific Research Area, the Scenic Spot and Historic Resorts and the Natural Reserve, where it collects and displays more than 10,000 species (including varieties) of plants with a quantity of more than 1,500,000 plants. 

Beijing Botanical Gardens is close to the downtown and has always been favored for“sea of flowers”vibe. It is the most beautiful season for the Botanical Garden from late March to early May. Peach flower, flowering plum, winter jasmine, forsythia and tulip orderly bloom there.

Olympic Forest Park

In spring, the Olympic Forest Park is the place to go to for outings and appreciation of flowers such as winter jasmine, magnolia, peach blossom, apricot blossom, Malus spectabilis and Chinese redbud, etc., especially large sheets of mountain peach for viewing in the South Park and the North Park.

The Olympic Forest Park, covering an area of about 680 hectares, is the largest urban green landscape in Asia. Divided by the 5th Ring Road, the park is seperated in two, the South Garden and the North Garden. The South Park covers an area of about 380 hectares, mainly including large landscapes of Yangshan Mountain, Aohao Lake and artificial wetlands, etc.; the North Park covers an area of about 300 hectares, mainly including landscapes of small streams, such as flower fields, Swift Tower and Dashu Park. The ecological corridor across the 5th Ring Road is the first natural channel of artificial simulation for cross-city expressway in China, linking the North Garden and the South Garden together.

  • Beijing Zoo
