conch shell person (someone who looks quiet, but is actually very rambunctious once you get to know them)

(hǎiluó rén)

A: When I went to the club yesterday I ran into that classmate who was the quietest girl in our class. Why would someone with a personality like hers go to a club?

B: Nothing impossible about that. There are conch shell people everywhere today. They look quiet on the outside, but when you listen up close to their heart you hear a tidal wave.

(nà yǒu shénme bù kěnénɡ de, xiànzài de hǎiluó rén duō de hěn ne. tāmén dōushì biǎomiàn kàn qǐlái hěn wénjìnɡ, dàn rúɡuǒ nǐ zǐxì tīnɡ, tāmén nèixīn shēnchǔ tèbié lànɡ.)

A: You really get it. Could it be you are one of these types of people too?

(nǐ zhème liǎojiě, ɡāi búhuì nǐ yěshì zhèyànɡ de rén ba?)
