Beijing, Blending Chinese Cuisines with Western Ones

2018-08-14

“One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating,” so runs a quotation from Italian musician Luciano Pavarotti.

Though there is a lot more to life than food, its importance to people still cannot be underrated.

That having been said, Beijing as a city seems to be acquainted with the people’s need for good food. Besides its popular Chinese food, Beijing still has more to offer as far as dishes from other countries are concerned.

A plethora of different cuisines, both from western as well as Asian countries is something you can find when you check in for lunch at one of the beautiful hotels in town.

At the glamorous Radegast, where I and friends recently had a fabulous lunch, we had a good food experience.

The Beijing CBD based hotel provides a range of dishes from Chinese, Japanese, all the way to western. Lianngua, sweet potato puree, sushi, vegetarian chicken, spicy turkey feet, Irish salad, cherry tomato, hawthorn cheese, seafood, among others.

Beijing surely has more than the traditional Beijing cuisine.
