Shengxifu was originally established in Tianjin in 1911 and launched its first branch in Beijing in the 1930s, with the trademark registered by its founder Liu Xisan. Shengxifu integrates many advanced techniques for leather hat manufacturing and forms its fine manufacturing skills by learning excellent hat manufacturing techniques at home and abroad. After the founding of People's Republic of China in 1949, Shengxifu leather hats were well liked and were given to many foreign friends as gifts.
