The three-day Beijing International Tourism Expo has attracted nearly a thousand travel agencies, tourism enterprises, and invited buyers from more than 80 countries and regions, and 28 domestic provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.

In addition to image display of overseas countries, domestic provinces and cities, special offers of major domestic travel companies and agencies, there are also splendid performances such as shadow puppet shows. At the site, visitors can also try to play the show by themselves. 

Shadow puppetry is an old traditional folk art in China, called “Donkey Shadow Puppetry” by Beijing natives. For thousands of years, the old art has brought about much pleasure to generations of ancestors. Shadow puppetry troupes of all sizes have abounded in villages and towns of China. Shadow puppetry shows would be offered in many occasions, such as festivals, harvest cerebration, wedding and banquet. Sometimes run all night long or for half month, shadow puppetry shows attract people of all neighboring villages and towns, making for a bustling scene.
