Picturesque Wonderland with Poetic Beauty

2020-06-26

Zu Mountain sprawls at Qinglong County in Qinhuangdao City. Myriad of peaks at the north of Bohai Sea and east of Yan Mountains originate from its mountain range. Praised as the “ancestor of numerous peaks”, it takes its name of Zu Mountain from that. Its highest point is 1,428- meter-high Tiannv Peak.

Precipitous as it is, Zu Mountain rises and falls. Graced by steep peaks, grotesque rocks and serene valleys, it enjoys enchanting charm. Standing on the Tiannv Peak, the highest point of Zu Mountain, would give you a bird’s view of intoxicating landscapes, like eastern sunrise, southern ships, western Great Wall and northern mountains. Modern master poet, Zang Kejia, once described it as “picturesque wonderland brimming with poetic beauty”.
