  • 4th Nanshan Ski Open

The Nanshan Ski Open embraces its fourth birthday this year, to be held on January 21. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders are encouraged to come out. With Cardrona of New Zealand Tour and tons of prizes from Free ski, Moment, Smith, and Picture, the competition is worth going to. Besides traditional items, the youth group competition is newly added.

  • Nanshan Youth Skiing and Snow Boarding Competition

The First Nanshan Youth Skiing and Snow Boarding Competition to be held on February 4 is a platform for young generations to learn from each other by exchanging views. Winners will reap a reward of Japanese Skiing Tour sponsored by Shiga Kogen Ski Area.

  • World Snow Day

World Snow Day

World Snow Day, part of the international FIS Campaign "Bring Children to the Snow", is an annual snow festival for children and their families with various activities taking place simultaneously on a single weekend. Now, back to 2018. The 3rd Snow Day will be celebrated at Vanke Shijinglong Ski Resort, which encourages children ranging from 6 to 10 years of age to take part in. Various interesting games and exciting competitions will bring children a unique experience. The event will also introduce more knowledge about the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

About Vanke Shijinglong Ski Resort

The resort is located in Yanqing District, about 75km from the urban area. Opened in 1999, it is the first ski resort around Beijing. The resort features a ski school serving professional guide on skiing and skating for beginners.

The resort upgraded in 2016 to ensure visitors' better skiing experience. Hence, the slopes, lobby, restaurant, parking lots, lifts are quite new. The ski area extended to 200,000 square meters and can receive 5,000 tourists skiing at same time. It contains 10 skiing trails including 1 advanced slope, 4 intermediate slopes, 4 beginner slope and 1 wheelchair accessible slope for disabled people. For the convenience of tourists, the advanced and intermediate slopes are equipped with a 4-men ski lift, a two-men ski lift and a drag lift while the beginner slopes features 5 convey belts. Children Amusement Park and Natural Snow Area are added to the resort. Night skiing is available since the resort wasrenovated. The resort enjoys a wonderful location where skiers can face the sunshine while skiing down the slopes.

In addition to advanced facilities, the resort is also one of the most beautiful ski resorts around Beijing. It is perched on the south slopes of Daqingshan Mountain with Longqing Gorge at its east, Guanting Reservoir at its west and Badaling Great Wall at its south. This ski resort is mainly targeted at young skiers, holidaymakers and international tourists since it is situated on the golden tourist route in Beijing covering the nearby attractions such as the Longqing Gorge, the Badaling Great Wall, Juyongguan Pass, and the Ming Tombs.

  • Ice and Snow Season Winter Camp

Duration: December, 2017 - February 2018.

The Ice and Snow Season Winter Camp has begun! Skiing fans and beginners Professional guide on snowboarding is accessible in the resort, which will ensure best experience on skiing.

Qiaobo Ice & Snow World is an indoor skiing resort where skiing is available all year around. As one of the earliest indoor skiing resort in Beijing, Qiaobo serves considerate service and advanced facility.

The resort covering an area of 40,000 sq meters features capacity of 3,000 people per day. Almost all kinds of demands can be satisfied whatever you want snowboarding or skiing. Snowboard park, beginner slope and intermediate slope can be found in the resort.  In addition, a 30-meter long and 15-meter wide trail with gentle slope is designed for children.

National Alpine Skiing Tour

Alpine skiing, or downhill skiing, is the sport or recreation of sliding down snow-covered hills on skis with fixed-heel bindings. It is typically practiced at ski resorts which provide services such as ski lifts, artificial snow making and grooming, first aid, and restaurants. Back-country skiers use alpine skiing equipment to ski off the marked pistes, in some cases with the assistance of snowmobiles, helicopters or snowcats. Alpine skiing has been an event at the Winter Olympic Games since 1936 (except for the 1940 games).

Yibu Slopestyle Snowboarding Jumping

Slopestyle is an exciting and entertaining game in which athletes ski or snowboard down a course including a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps and other terrain park features.
