Yuyuantan Park Snow Season

With a total planned area of 132.07 hectares and water area of 57.93 hectares, Yuyuantan Park is a comprehensive park in Beijing, and a national 4A scenic area. The park boasts a long history, vast landmass, abundant water, and picturesque sceneries. Yuyuantan Park is famous for its spring cherry blossoms and annual winter festivals. In this winter, the park has marked out an icy area for visitors to enjoy winter activities. The classic snow tubing greeted visitors after upgraded. Summer Palace Winter Events

Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace transformed into an ice rink in winter. Covering an area of 700,000 square meters, Kunming Lake Skating Rink boasts the largest natural rink in downtown Beijing. Standing on the Kunming Lake, with broad vision, you can look around of Wanshou Mountain, Foxiang Pavilion, Seventeen-Arch Bridge and West Embankment in 360 degree. In winter, the palace gets more mild and vintage. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value.

The ice rink is quite popular among tourists. During the weekend, many people came to the ice rink on Kunming Lake to relax or take exercise.

9th Bird's Nest Happy Ice and Snow Season

The largest skating rink in downtown Beijing, the Bird's Nest Ice Rink, greeted tourists on January 7. The skating rink is also the venue for the 9th Bird's Nest Happy Ice and Snow Season, which has gained great reputation in the past eight years. Besides, other highlights of the 2008 Summer Olympics are displayed as well such as the torch, instruments, and the property of opening and closing ceremonies etc. You can also view the amazing landscape of the Olympic Green from the top of the stadium due to its having a 1000-meter long corridor established on the top floor.

Shichahai Ice Rink

The ice rink at Shichahai is always one of the most cared outdoor rinks in Beijing. As the "time-honored" ice rink in Beijing, the Shichahai keeps its popularity among local Bejingers.
