Shengdong Garden (Winter)

Situated to the south of Chunze Garden, Shengdong Garden is the winter scenery in Elegant Spring Garden Zone. Built during the reign of Qianlong Emperor, it was called “Mingshan Hall”. When Jiaqing Emperor assumed the throne, he had it expanded and renovated, and renamed it “Shengdong Garden”. With the advent of winter, its lush greenery fades. Chunze Garden (Spring)

Located at the Old Summer Palace, Chunze Garden neighbors Zhanshiyinglv in the west, Houhu Lake in the north and Qing Pond in the south. Originally built during the reign of Jiaqing Emperor, it features spring scenery in Elegant Spring Garden Zone. At here, you would indulge yourself in its charm, like yellow leaves, azure sky, white clouds, beautiful lake with limpid and clear water in autumn color and chirping worms and cicadas. Against splendid sunset glow, a stream gurgles past a bridge. On an winter afternoon, let your imagination run wild and write an ode to the winter.

Hanqiu Garden (Autumn)

Hanqiu Garden is located at the northwest of Fuchun Garden. Built during the reign of Jiaqing Emperor, this two-storey garden is designed with a winding corridor. Dubbed as one of four seasonal sights of Elegant Spring Garden Zone including spring (Aochun Garden), summer (Qingxia Garden), autumn (Hanqiu Garden) and winter (Shengdong Garden), it is covered in abundance by autumnal plants.
