From the very beginning of October on, autumn tinges its 3000-meter-long red leaves belt with a red color bit by bit. Against the imposing Great Wall, this mottled belt sketches out poetic and picturesque autumn sceneries for tourists and lets them feast on the ethereal red leaves scenery of the Great Wall. For steep steps of the Great Wall, tourists can take a cable car with 100 yuan for round trip and 80 yuan for single trip.

Bus Routes: Take tourism special bus No. 867 (former No. 936) at Beijing urban area and get off Mutianyu Great Wall. This bus leaves Dongzhimen directly to this scenic area at 7:00 and 8:30. For tourists by flight, drive northward from Beijing Capital Airport, pass Jingmi Road and arrive at Huairou urban area. And then drive westward along Yingbin North Round to the scenic area.

Self-guided Routes: Leave downtown and drive along Beijing-Chengde Expressway, take the No. 13 exit and follow the signposts to this scenic area.
