Mangshan National Forest Park in Beijing

Boasting an about-86-square-kilometer planted forest or forest coverage of 86.5%, Mangshan National Forest Park is hailed as the Beijing’s largest forest park. Its annual red leave festival would hold all sorts of activities like appreciating red leaves, climbing Mangshan Mountain, hot spring bath and enjoying mushroom tonic soup.

Reasons for Recommendation: Autumn Mangshan is at its best. Tourists can pick wild food materials and wild jujube and have a taste of rustic potherb.

Bus Routes: 1) Take bus No. 888 at Deshengmen Station and get off at its terminal, Mangshan Park. 2) Take bus No. 345 at Deshengmen Station and get off at Chaofengan Station, and then walk to Mangshan Park.

Self-guided Routes: Drive along Beijing-Changping Expressway and take the Changping Xiguan Exit (13C). Drive eastward to Dongguan Round along the Governments Street of Changping, then drive northward along Reservoir Road. Follow the road signs to Mangshan Resort, and the park is right past the Mangshan Resort.
