Badachu
The golden autumn heralds one of the famous Xishan twelve scenes, the “red leaves in late autumns”, as the red leaves cover mountains in the Badachu Park. In mid to late October, colors of 100,000-odd trees will change.
There are three places in Badachu ideal for appreciating red leaves. The first one is Baozhudong (the seventh Buddhist temple of Badachu) where visitors can overlook the colorful trees; the second option is an avenue of red leaves that extends nearly 100 meters, situated between Zhonghua Jingyin Valley and Xiangjie Temple (the sixth Buddhist temple of Badachu); and the third choice is to take a cable car to overlook the red leaves and major structures of Beijing. Besides, the sideway offers tourists a chance to fly through the sea of red leaves.
