Badaling

A forest of red leaves covering an area of around 3,000 mu flourishes on the Badaling Section of the Great Wall. Besides dominant cotinus coggygrias, acer truncatums and prunus sibiricas are also available in this large area for enjoying red leaves. Each narrow window on the wall offers visitors varied views and thus can be used for overlooking or looking far into the distance.

Mutianyu

The Mutianyu Great Wall is adorned by a colorful forest of cotinus coggygrias, oaks, acer mono maxims and rhus typhina. At the end of the most beautiful rural highway near the Great Wall locates the Labagoumen National Forest Park with a forest coverage of over 90%, a wonderful choice for visitors who prefer self-guided traveling or hiking.

Beijing Wtown

Praised as the “town with red leaves at the foot of the Great Wall”, Beijing Wtown in late autumns boasts alleys paved with red leaves of Boston ivies, presenting an ideal background for photography. Standing on the Simatai Great Wall, tourists can take great pleasure in overlooking the red leaves-

covered mountain in daytime and enjoying the brightly-lit Great Wall in the evening.
