Besides visiting the world-famous Peking Man Site, tourists can also see mountains covered in red leaves at Pofengling Scenic Area.

Located in Zhoukoudian in Fangshan District of Beijing, Pofengling Scenic Area is about 52 km from the city center. It covers an area of 133 hectares, of which over 100 hectares are covered with red leaves. It has a 6-kilometer trail which makes it easy for people to climb onto and down the mountain.

Now the area has entered the best viewing time for red leaves. Mountains and hills are covered with red and yellow leaves, resembling colorful ribbons in the sky.
