Themed "Silk Road links the World, Beijing Trip Delights the Crowd”, the 19th Beijing International Tourism Festival 2017 will be held in Beijing from October 1 to 4. The festival covers a main venue at the Beijing Olympic Park Bird’s Nest (National Stadium) and three venues in Shunyi District, Daxing District, and Shijingshan District. Nearly 700 performers from 18 countries will display splendid performances with four themes such as social welfare activity and Beijing tourism consultation activities.

Among them, Shunyi venue is located in Shunyi International Flower Port, where the Chrysanthemum Culture Festival will be held in the same period.

“Touching Beijing with the Disabled” social welfare activity will be held at the Shunyi International Flower Port during the festival, which will be listed as a significant part of the festival this year raise awareness. The representatives of the city’s disabled will be invited to watch performances and experience barrier-free facilities on October 1. Besides, an exhibition of disabled artists’ painting and calligraphy will run through Oct 1-3 as well.

The Chrysanthemum Culture Festival is the traditional event of the flower port. This year, the festival includes indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, with the theme of “Old Beijing, New Beijing Flavor”. The indoor exhibition will showcase 800 varieties of chrysanthemum flowers and integrate with different arts such as poetry, paintings and paper cutting, showing the deep historical culture of the city. The outdoor exhibition area is composed of more than 40 sets of chrysanthemum flowers with an area of nearly 100,000 square meters.
