China Outbound Tourism Industry at a Glance
World Tourism Organization (WTO), in 2005, forecasted the Chinese Outbound Travel market to reach 100 million (measured by number of tourists) by 2020; however, recent trends suggest that the figure would reach 100 million before 2015。
2014 China Outbound Tourism Development Report pointed out that China remains the world's largest outbound tourist market and no.1 country with highest outbound tourism consumption. No. of outbound tourists were estimated to be at 98.19 million an increase of 18.0%. Outbound tourism consumption was at US$128.7 billion dollars, a 26.8 percent increase from last year.
The China Luxury Report showed that total consumption of luxury goods overseas by Chinese consumers was US$50 billion in 2011. The figure rose to US$74 billion in 2013, much higher than the local consumption of US$28 billion.

The exhibition hall was full of intense visitors. 75,000 people at least came to the expo on the first public open day.
Elements of Father’s Day on BITE 2017
June 18 was the Father's Day as well. Hence, the Caissa prepared special gifts for customers. Every male could get a pillow with “the best father” after finished deal.
Regional and Overseas Exhibition Areas
The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei exhibition area was the most distinctive feature of the Expo. Over 60 tourism agencies and companies from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Provinces displayed their tourism resources and products.
The exhibition area of Tibet displayed the Zang people’s traditional clothes which attained visitors admire. Namsto was mainly promoted on BITE 2017, said the Chief of Nagqu Tourism Bureau.
Closing Ceremony
A closing ceremony of the Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) was held on June 18, 2017. The expo lasted 3 days during which great efforts have made. The expo attracted companies from over 80 countries and regions, and domestic companies from 28 provinces and buyers. More than 40,000 professional visitors took part in over 3600 forums, meetings and promotion events. The deals reached about 6.3 billion yuan, which increased 6.8% compared to last year. The expo was really hot among customers. 150 thousand people visited the expo and 100 thousand of them bought tourism products. The sale volume came up to 110,000,000 yuan and increased 18% compared to last year.
BITE 2017 was held successfully in the following aspects.
Firstly, the expo focused on the integration development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
Secondly, the expo promoted the inbound tourism market development efficiently.
Thirdly, the business area was extended.
Fourthly, the expo offered more professional service.
