The Haydn Chamber Ensemble was founded in 2013 as a classic piano trio by Cornelia Löscher, Luca Monti and Hannes Gradwohl and is based in Eisenstadt and Vienna. The three combines many years of experience as chamber musicians and soloists.
Committed to its name, the Haydn Chamber Ensemble focuses on the oevre of Joseph Haydn and his contemporaries. In order to exploit the full spectrum of chamber music, the Ensemble invites musician friends to complete the ensemble.
Another emphasis of the Ensemble lies in commissioning and performing contemporary music. The Ensemble pursues the intensive collaboration with well renowned or rising composers.
Since 2014 the Haydn Chamber Ensemble has played their own chamber concert series at the Esterhazy Palace as part of the Haydn Festival Eisenstadt. In each of the concerts a newly composed piano trio, based on specific theme will be premiered. These works are commissioned by the Haydn Festival Eisenstadt in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture and they are dedicated to the Haydn Chamber Ensemble.
2015 appeared their first CD with Trios by Haydn, Mozart and Schubert produced by the Austrian record label Gramola.[source:National Centre for the Performing Arts]
