Located 15 km from downtown Laiyuan County, Hebei Province, Baishi Mountain is the Northeast part of Taihang Mountains. Covering an area of 54 square kilometers, Baishi Mountain is a part of Fangshan World Geopark, Beijing.

The highest peak of Baishi Mountain is Foguangding which is 2,096 meters. Standing on the Foguangding, you can even see the Langya Mountain and Wutai Mountain. Baishi Mountain has multiple landscapes such as rugged terrain, scattered slopes, secret and deep valleys, furnishing mountains and so on.

We went to there last weekend to enjoy the natural landscapes. Started early in the morning, we thought we’ll arrive at the mountain before noon. However, the expressway was closed due to the weather. As there were snow covered the road, our coach runs really slow that we arrived at the mountain at 14:00. In other words, we don’t have enough time to climb so we toke the shuttle bus instead of hiking.

It was an unforgettable experience to take the shuttle bus to the top of the mountain. The route is about 13km and it has 95 swerves and some of them are 360° turns. The first thing come to your mind is “Have I bought an insurance before? ” It took 25 minutes to the top of the mountain and then we headed to the glass skywalk.

The landscapes along the way were so splendid that we all agree that Baishi Mountain is worth to come and considered to come here again in summer or autumn. There are many stones of different shapes such as “Dolphin out of Water”, “Jiangtaigong Fishing”, “Bajie and His Wife”, and so on.

The most amazing thing we saw is the paths built on the cliffs. There are many paths that suspend in midair in the mountain which are beyond words.
