As the first big non-profit “privately-run under state ownership” museum, Yan Huang Museum is focus on exhibit and promote Chinese culture.
Leading by Huang Zhou, a famous artist and social activist, the museum began its construction on 1986 with the help of Beijing governments and enthusiasts both from China and abroad. The museum opened to the public on Sep 28, 1991 after it is completed.
The art museum industry is in its growth period and an “Art Museum Era” is coming now. How to meet visitors’ needs better is the most important issue that the museum have to work on. Yan Huang Art Museum will improve its facilities and to make the museum a platform for promoting Chinese culture.
