To strengthen the Chu Country, Qu Yuan, as a minister of Chu, called domestic refrom and insisted that Chu should fight against Qin with Qi. To make sure these things get done, he drafted a constitution and amened laws.

However, the King of Chu was lured by Zhang Yi, the minister of Qin, and he did not listen to Qu Yuan’s advices. Qu Yuan tried his best to convince the king, but failed. He was desperate and threw himself into the Miluo River.

After his death, Song Yu, one of his students, undertook Qu Yuan’s dream and moved on.

This is a historical drama which is based on the history rather than romance. With this play, audiences may understand Qu Yuan’s sprite better.
