Tony’s Workshop sits comfortably inside the upper echelons regarding unconventional Beijing bars. This penthouse apartment switched cocktail hideaway is owned by Mr. Tony Zhao, a pro cocktail-mixer with some sort of penchant for elaborate drinks and wallpaper.
Tony’s Workshop is a one-bedroom studio space hidden away on the 11th floor. Position yourself with the bar in the living room, sit as a compact group on armchairs inside the bedroom, Tony’s Workshop is usually a perfectly functioning club, but by day it may be Tony’s actual apartment.
There's an interesting list of cocktails and a reliable selection of imported bottles. Pick something from that menu or perhaps ask for a creation based on your flavors. First up is usually a World Traveler (RMB 98), a mix of Japanese shochu and to Midori, a melons liqueur. Next, we consider trying a Rose Lady (RMB 98), which you must drink slowly to allow the rose-petal-infused ice ball fully melt to the liquid.
