New Anti-Social Behaviour Rules for Beijing Parks

2013-04-13

In 2013, The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Forestry will implement new fines for people caught engaging in anti-social behavior in parks.

Fines of 20-50 RMB will be given to those caught climbing over fences, railings, and hedges, smoking in non-smoking areas, swimming in non-swimming sections, skating in non-skating sections, and fishing in non-fishing areas.

Campfires, barbecues, trapping animals, picking plants, intimidating others, fighting, harming or feeding animals will amount to fines of between 50-100 RMB.

The fines will first be implemented in 11 parks across the city, with 46 parks eventually being incorporated under the new rulings.
