This imported Taiwanese department store brings in more than 900 international brands. Shin Kong Place sells mid-to high-level clothing and goods. Twenty international brands have made their debut entrance to the China at this mall.

Taiwan-based Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (SKM), a leading department store chain, opens its first store outside Taiwan, in Beijing in 2007. As one of China Central Place buildings, Shin Kong place is located near two luxury hotels, the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott, and supported by three 5A office buildings and international apartment complexes.

Shin Kong Place has successfully attracted 938 international class brands, as it also boasts Asia's largest Gucci flagship store, as well as a gourmet foods supermarket (The Marketplace) in the basement and a range of fine dining establishments (Ding Ding Xiang, Din Tai Fung, Bellagio, Crystal Jade Palace) on the top level. Fauchon, a France's premier food emporium covers a mind-boggling four floors with a deli, cafe, bakery, and expensive restaurant, all done up in its trademark pink and silver.

The first thing which strikes shoppers as they enter is the sheer number of luxury brands – including Chanel, Coach, Fauchon, Hugo Boss, Prada, Salvatore, Ferragamo, Dunhill, Bottega Veneta, Anna Sui, Mikimoto, Marc Jacobs,Franck Muller, Biotherm, Clinque, Dior, Estee Lauder, Guerlain, Lancome, Shiseido, Clarins, Clinique, Boss and Bvlgari. Younger markets are catered to with brands such as Converse, Diesel, Juicy Couture and Acupuncture, with sports brands Nike and Adidas both boasting flagship stores in the complex.
