In contrast to many other department stores in Beijing, Landao sells mainly Chinese brands and is a fabulous place to find bargains. For those after something affordable and of better quality than at the markets, this is a good option. From cosmetics, home wares, perfumes, jewellery, and clothes for the whole family are spread across its busy but pleasant floors. During the winter this is arguably the best place to buy a warm, reasonably priced coat (head to the back of the third floor).

Right next to Landao Department Store is this building that looks a little less old and a lot more organized. Here you will find a pretty nice range of sporting goods including rackets, nets, roller blades, roller skates, exercise equipment, and athletic shoes and clothing. The rest of the floors carry the usual mix of clothing, accessories, appliances, and furnishings. But if you get tired of shopping, just go up to the six level Game Arcade and try your luck at fighting some digital bad guys.
