Co-organized by the Palace Museum and the Cultural Reles Bureau of the Tibet Autonomous Region, along with multiple other cultural and museum institutions, the exhibition "Beyond Time: The History, Culture and Art of Sakya Monastery" opened on February 10, 2026, at the Meridian Gate (Wumen) and the East Yanchi Lou Gallery of the Palace Museum. Based on solid academic research, the exhibition features over 200 exquisite cultural relics and is divided into four sections: "History of Sakya Monastery (萨迦寺的历史)," "One Nation Under Heaven (九州一统)," "Culture and Art of Sakya Monastery (萨迦寺的文化与艺术)," and "Treasures of Sakya Monastery (萨迦寺的珍藏)." It aims to showcase the nearly thousand-year historical accumulation and artistic characteristics of Sakya Monastery, as well as its significant role in the integration of diverse Chinese ethnic groups. The exhibition will run until May 10, 2026.
