"GALLOPING INTO THE NEW YEAR" PENINSULA AFTERNOON TEA

nspired by the joyful symbols, vibrant colours and heartfelt blessings of the season, this festive afternoon tea invites guests to indulge in a thoughtful curation of sweet and savoury delicacies shaped by traditional motifs such as gold ingots, lucky coins, festive lanterns and auspicious gift bags.

At the heart of the presentation, the striking Five‑Coin Chocolate Ring symbolises wufu linmen, a wish for fivefold good fortune in the year ahead. Signature creations such as the Sichuan Pepper Dark Chocolate Citrus Cake, the Caramel Sea‑Salt Peanut Lantern, Rice Ferment Pudding, and the whimsical Orange Carriage Carousel weave together Chinese flavours and Western pastry craftsmanship, offering unexpected aromas, textures and delight in every bite.

To complement the sweets, the chefs reinterpret the savoury portion of a classic English afternoon tea through a distinctly Chinese lens—featuring Persimmon Puffs, Rose & Mung Bean Pastry, Golden Pumpkin & Pomelo Yuanbao Dumplings, and the elegant Purple Sweet Potato "Ruyi" Cake, each imbued with symbolic blessings for prosperity, harmony and abundance. Guests may also enjoy two limited‑edition scones: Hawthorn Scone and Black Sesame Scone, served warm with clotted cream, lemon curd and strawberry preserves.
