2025 China Open kicked off on September 14th

2025-09-15

Yesterday, the 2025 China Open kicked off in grand style. Reporters learned from the tournament press conference held yesterday that ticket sales for the China Open are currently booming—some tickets for popular sessions have been sold out, and the overall sales volume has reached nearly double that of the same period last year. In addition, this year's China Open will also "enter" business districts to create "second viewing venues" for the tournament, further narrowing the distance between the event and the audience.

This year's China Open will be held at the Beijing National Tennis Center from September 14 to October 5, making it Asia's first top-tier comprehensive tennis tournament spanning three weeks. Among the schedule, the ITF Junior Tournament will take the lead from September 14 to 21, followed by the men's and women's singles events. To welcome the exciting tournament and the audience, the National Tennis Center has completed a comprehensive upgrade and renovation this year:

A new corridor has been added in the South Square, directly connecting to core areas such as the Comprehensive Building, Diamond Court, and Lotus Court; five new training courts meeting international competition standards have been built on the west side, along with an exclusive "Autograph Island" to allow fans to interact with tennis stars up close; a clay court-themed garden viewing area has been created on the east side; additional leisure spots have been set up around the "China Open Ring" in the West Square and Bradder Court.

After this series of renovations, the park's area has expanded by nearly 15,000 square meters, with a significant improvement in capacity and accessibility. The Diamond Court has focused on upgrading its sound system, allowing the audience to enjoy a clear and three-dimensional on-site experience.

"This year, the China Open continues to enhance venue hardware and audience services. The number of on-site catering service points during the tournament has been increased to over 70, offering a rich variety of options. There will also be 5 official merchandise sales points in the park, with 240 types of products available, fully meeting the audience's viewing and consumption needs," said Li Xuhua, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the 2025 China Open Organizing Committee and General Manager of China Open Co., Ltd.

This year's China Open features a star-studded lineup. Fourteen Grand Slam champions, including Jannik Sinner, will gather in Beijing this golden autumn. Chinese "Golden Flowers" Zheng Qinwen, Wang Xinyu, and Wang Yafan have directly qualified for the tournament based on their rankings, while Bu Yunchaokete will also compete for a spot in the men's singles main draw. The strong lineup has attracted extremely high attention. It is reported that since ticket sales started on August 8, some tickets for popular sessions of the China Open have been sold out, and tickets for the N.ational Day holiday are also highly sought after by fans. As of 24:00 on September 7, the overall ticket sales volume this year is nearly double that of the same period last year. Yesterday, the China Open Enjoyment Tickets were also officially launched, providing more options for the audience.

This year's China Open will break the boundaries of traditional tournaments and jointly launch the "Travel Beijing with the Tournament" themed routes with the city, covering 11 well-known parks and scenic spots such as the Yuanmingyuan Park. With their China Open ticket stubs, fans can enjoy ticket discounts and exclusive benefits for cultural and entertainment projects, unlocking a one-stop "match viewing + cultural tourism" experience. The tournament will also join hands with Beijing's core business districts to co-create "China Open Carnival Open Live Second Venues," where 12 characteristic viewing spots will broadcast the China Open live on screens. In addition, 18 business districts including Langyuan·Station will broadcast the tournament simultaneously, and cinemas such as Capital Cinema will launch the "City Box Viewing Experience." Multiple measures will be taken to spread the passion and charm of this top-tier tournament throughout Beijing.
