On October 12, Chinese-American composer Du Yun will return to the Beijing Music Festival stage with her new work—the music theater piece The Ocean Etched in the Forest. Deeply aligned with the festival's theme of "Future Tradition," this production is jointly commissioned by the Beijing Music Festival and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York. With the Jino Ethnic Township Cultural Center in Yunnan serving as the traditional consultant for Jinuo culture, the piece seamlessly blends ancient Jino songs with modern music theater forms and contemporary arrangements by the American band OK MISS, presenting a complete cultural panorama of the Jino people.
