01 Summer Study Tour | Recruitment for the 2025 "Little Interpreter" Training Course
Summer 2025
What is the secret to turning teenagers into "Little Interpreters"? The answer is: hands-on experience. Gold lacquer inlay, cloisonné, black copper inlay with silver, carved bamboo with reed pipes... These beautiful terms are no longer just symbols in books. Only by trying them out and experiencing them firsthand can one truly understand their subtleties, and only then can one speak with confidence and warmth when telling their stories.
Activity Highlights:
From "doing" to "understanding", and then to confidently "explaining", doing it yourself is the real starting point.
Ancient Jade Making: Learn the ancient craft recorded in "Tiangong Kaiwu" by hand, and appreciate the focus and difficulty of the craftsmen. When teenagers explain jade artifacts, this experience is the most vivid footnote.
Mural Copying: Understand mineral pigments and feel the colors of Dunhuang spanning thousands of years. Only by experiencing the preciousness of pigments firsthand can one vividly convey the charm of colors when telling mural stories.
Shell Inlay: Hands-on practice allows the imagery of "shell inlay forming emerald light" from ancient poems to come alive at your fingertips. Only by personally doing inlay work can one truly understand the intricacies of the craft, making the explanations truly substantial.
Purple Sand Pottery: Experience the wonderful journey of purple sand clay from kneading to shaping. When teenagers have personally shaped a teapot, they can naturally express their understanding of the clay when explaining purple sand culture.
Understanding the essence is what makes explanations compelling.
Under the guidance of professional teachers, transform the insights gained from hands-on experiences, observed details, and cultural understanding into clear, vivid, and personally insightful explanations.
Listen to the inheritors of intangible cultural heritage narrate their skills and perseverance, and understand the human warmth and wisdom behind the saying "slow work produces fine products".
