Summer's Hidden Indoor Gems | Beijing Olympic Museum

The Beijing Olympic Museum covers a total area of about 26,000 square meters and is a permanent thematic museum centered around the Olympics. The museum consists of an entrance hall, basic exhibition hall, interactive exhibition area, temporary exhibition area, etc.

The basic exhibition hall is themed "Dual Olympic City: Together For A Better Future" with an exhibition area of 8,604 square meters, divided into three parts.

In addition, the Beijing Olympic Museum also features special exhibition areas, including a Chinese model thematic exhibition, a "Dual Olympics" champions wall, and a thematic interactive exhibition area.

Recent Activities

To enrich the summer activities for young people, and promote knowledge of Winter Olympic sports events, as the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics approaches, the Beijing Olympic Museum has specially planned the "DIY Winter Olympics Medal Making" educational activity.

This activity will continue until July 19, 2025, from 10:30-12:00 in the morning and 13:30-15:00 in the afternoon, held in the social education activity area on the first floor of the Beijing Olympic Museum (excluding closing days). Opening hours

During the summer vacation period (July 7th to August 31st), the Beijing Olympic Museum will be closed on Mondays and adjusted to be closed on Tuesdays; extended opening hours on Wednesdays, from 9:00 to 20:00, with last entry at 19:00.

Transportation

Bus:

Take bus routes 538, 645, 82, 419 and get off at the "National Stadium East" bus stop. Enter from the northeast exit of the Beijing Olympic Park central area, walk south for about 700 meters to reach the National Stadium.

Subway:

Get off at the Aoti Zhongxin Station on Beijing Subway Line 8, enter from the No. 3 entrance of the Beijing Olympic Park central area, walk about 600 meters towards the National Stadium.
