Fengning Bashang Grassland

Also known as the First Grassland North of Beijing, Fengning Bashang Grassland is located in the northwest of Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, Hebei Province, spanning a total area of 350 square kilometers and 285 kilometers south of Beijing. It is a natural grassland close to the capital.

The Fengning Bashang area boasts a vast sky and expansive land, with fertile grass and colorful flowers. The climate is cool in midsummer, making it an ideal resort for escaping the summer heat.

Visitors to Fengning Bashang can ride horses and enjoy four major performances at China Horse Town, indulging in a thrilling ride and audiovisual feast. They can also take light aircraft, powered parachutes, and hot air balloons at Tianma Flying Town to soar into the blue sky and take in the beautiful scenery of the grassland with blue skies and green grass. Alternatively, they can visit the Colorful Forest to embrace the picturesque landscape and experience the unique Manchu culture of Fengning.

Zhangbei Grassland

Located 70 kilometers northwest of Zhangjiakou, in Zhangbei, Zhangbei Grassland consists of the Zhongdu and Anguli grasslands, which were once places for the Qing emperors to tour and hunt in autumn.

The ecosystem here is intact, as evidenced by poems describing the endless grasslands and vast skies. Visitors can ride horses and enjoy a fulfilling journey across the grassland.

Zhangbei's "Grassland Sky Road" is one of China's most beautiful highways, stretching 132.7 kilometers like a dragon perched atop rugged mountains. The blue sky meets the road, and white clouds echo it, making it feel like walking on the clouds, hence its name "Sky Road."

The "Grassland Sky Road" is flanked by various scenic views, including grasslands, windmills, terraced fields, villages, rock walls, and birch forests. The scenery is particularly enchanting in summer, with lush green grass and wildflowers everywhere. In addition, the road is surrounded by numerous human, ecological, and geological tourism resources such as ancient Great Wall sites, Huapi Ridge, and Yehuling.

Guyuan Grassland

Guyuan Grassland is located in Guyuan County, 180 kilometers northeast of Zhangjiakou, in the hinterland of Jinlianchuan, and borders the Inner Mongolia grassland to the north. The grassland is extensive, with wetlands and lakes.

Laozhanggou Jinlian Mountain Forest Park here is a distinctive primitive forest park. Visitors will be enchanted by the white birch forest, elm forest, Longevity Spring, Butterfly Valley, and aerial meadow.

The Wuhua meadow, known as the "the most beautiful flower sea in North China," is also located here. It is a well-preserved natural meadow in Hebei Province with high vegetation coverage and high ornamental value.

Lightning Lake on Guyuan Grassland is the largest lake upstream of the Luan River, surrounded by vast grasslands and picturesque scenery. By the lake, visitors can ride horses or ATVs across the grassland, climb the continuous Tanshan Mountain to watch sunrises and sunsets, and enjoy the unique scenery of the grassland.
