Kangxi Grassland

Located 15 kilometers west of Badaling Great Wall in Kangzhuang, Yanqing, and 80 kilometers from Beijing, Kangxi Grassland borders Guanting Lake to the west and Haituo Mountain to the north, spanning approximately 22 million square meters of grassland.

Every summer, Kangxi Grassland is covered with lush green grass and dotted with red flowers. Here, you'll find Mongolian yurts, cows, horses, and sheep herds. Surrounded by mountains and water, the grassland integrates mountains, water, forests, and grass into a beautiful and refreshing landscape. Additionally, due to its high altitude, Kangxi Grassland has a cool and moist climate in summer, making it an ideal summer retreat.

Kangxi Grassland offers a horse-racing ground, equestrian clubs, folk resorts, and an open-air bonfire dance ground. Saihanba National Forest Park

Saihanba National Forest Park in the Bashang area of Chengde, Hebei Province, spans a total area of 1.4 million mu, including 1.1 million mu of forest landscapes and 200,000 mu of grassland landscapes, with a forest coverage rate of 80%. It is China's largest artificial forest park.

Located on the Bashang Plateau and once a royal hunting ground during the Qing Dynasty, the park boasts unique natural and cultural landscapes, including vast forests, expansive grasslands, clear plateau lakes, and numerous historical relics from the Qing Dynasty. The climate here is cool and the air is fresh in summer, with an average temperature of around 25°C.

The park currently has 71,000 hectares of scenic forests and vast grasslands with galloping horse herds. Aerial views reveal a magnificent sea of trees undulating with the terrain. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the scenic forests complement each other, creating a picturesque landscape.

In summer, flowers bloom in a riot of colors, including golden trollius, dandelions, purple-red sanguisorba, snowy angelica sinensis flowers, anemones, pink campanulas, blue delphiniums, and Aconitum mandshuricum, all clustering together in a dazzling display of beauty.

Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area

Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area is located in the Mulan Hunting Ground area of Chengde, spanning a total area of 1,000 square kilometers and an altitude of 1,230 meters to 1,820 meters. The scenic area includes 700,000 mu of pristine grassland, 200,000 mu of wetlands, 500,000 mu of natural secondary forests, 21 natural freshwater lakes, 47 springs, and 13 rivers, making it one of the sources of the Luan River.

Here, the grass is lush and flowers bloom in abundance during spring and summer.

The scenic area is rich in tourism resources, with breathtaking natural landscapes such as Shenxian Cave, Taoshan Lake, Moon Lake, Baihua Slope, Grand Canyon, and Turtle Mountain. Cultural landscapes such as Qing Tea House, Cuihua Palace, Yuquan Spring, Aobao Mountain, Training Ground, Ancient Royal Road, Yadai Mountain, and Tiantian Liang are imbued with profound royal cultural connotations.

Visitors can experience rafting, sandboarding, horse riding, and grassland motorcycles. They can savor local specialties such as hand-cut mutton, air-dried beef jerky, and Oat noodles. At night, they can dance to lively Andai dances around a blazing bonfire and sing their hearts out under the stars amidst the vast grassland.
