Characteristic bookstores: wonderful sharing sessions invite readers to explore the ocean of books

Scattered across Beijing's streets and alleys, various characteristic bookstores have also prepared summer gifts, waiting for readers' enthusiastic participation. 

PAGEONE Bookstore will host a series of splendid new book sharing sessions and special exhibitions. On July 12th, "Zeng Guofan and the Great Changes of the Late Qing Dynasty" – a talk sharing session on "The Governor in the Crack" will be held at Wudaokou Branch and Beichenghui Branch respectively, along with a themed reading session on Fujimoto Tatsuki's works titled "If Life Could Be Lived Again". On July 20th, Wudaokou Branch and Hutong Huayuan Branch will hold a lecture on "Exploring the Real Life Scenes of Women in the Yuan Dynasty" and a reading session on "Going Inward, Settle Yourself" respectively. On July 26th, at Beijing Fun Branch, "Let's 'Benefit' Together to Add Goodness to Clothes – Orphan Paintings Turned into Clothes, Co-weaving a National-style Public Welfare Literary Gathering" will take place. From July 20th to September 21st, the Virginia Woolf-themed special exhibition on "A Room of One's Own" will be on display at Beijing Fun Branch and Shuangjing Branch; the themed exhibition of Ge Fei's new work "The Path of Clouds" and the themed exhibition of Wang Shuo's works will also meet readers at Wudaokou Branch and Beijing Fun Branch respectively. 

Spring Books Bookstore, located in Tongzhou, has carefully launched the "Dive into the Ocean of Books" summer reading season, preparing 6 time-traveling reading journeys for readers. The first to start is the AI-themed week, featuring special bookshelves with themed books such as "The Coming Wave", "AI Revolution", "Writing Good Papers: Thinking Models and AI-Assisted Applications", and "The Rise of Generative AI", along with a lecture by scholar Yuan Shuo. In the Grand Canal Culture-themed week, special bookshelves with themed books including "Legends of the Grand Canal", "The Grand Canal Floated to the Forbidden City", "Caoyun Wharf", and "Records of Tongzhou" will be set up, and Wang Luxin, author of "Records of Tongzhou", will give a special lecture, among other activities.
