PART.02 Yuanmingyuan Park
With a thousand acres of lotus ponds as the scroll and poetic beauty as the ink, the 30th Lotus Festival at Yuanmingyuan Park awaits your visit.
This year's Lotus Festival is themed "Heart with the Lotus (心归荷处)," combining the natural beauty and cultural significance of lotus flowers to invite you to a timeless encounter of nature and culture.
In the Qing Dynasty, Yuanmingyuan was where Emperor Qianlong served the Empress Dowager and enjoyed the lotus flowers every summer. Today, the entire park is filled with over 200 colorful lotus flower varieties, offering a visual feast of lotus flowers.
The lotus flower variety base is located in the Duojia Ruyun Scenic Area, serving as a research base and seed resource garden integrating research, production, and viewing of lotus flowers.
The Changchun Garden's water lotus viewing area surrounds the small island of Haiyue Kaijin, offering two water tour routes for lotus viewing. Additionally, places like Lianxi Lechu, Quyuan Fenghe, and Qianyuan also provide opportunities to admire lotus flowers. Lotus viewing routes:

The Bougainvillea is native to Lingnan, but it thrives in the royal gardens of the north, and this year's Lotus Festival introduces the "Imperial Garden with Lotus and Bougainvillea (荷韵梅芳 御苑双姝)" dual flower exhibition for the first time, specially showcasing the historical blending of horticulture between the north and south.
This flower exhibition showcases over 200 bonsai sets, mainly featuring domestically long-standing varieties such as small-leaved purple and Tong'an red. When the flourishing Bougainvillea from Lingnan meets the lotus from the north, it interprets a royal garden competition that transcends time and region.

PART.03 Taoranting Park
The midsummer season is the best time to enjoy lotus flowers. In Taoranting Park, approximately 3500 square meters are planted with lotus flowers. Currently, varieties such as Baiyangdian red lotus and white lotus are blooming gracefully, with nearly 20 different types of lotus flowers blossoming one after another, decorating the green leaves with pink and white flowers, bringing a hint of coolness to the hot summer days.In the surrounding area of Jinyue Pavilion, lotus flowers, irises, and water lilies grow vigorously in nearly 1000 square meters of water. At this time, the lotus flowers are in full bloom, with the varying heights of lotus leaves and the graceful lotus flowers creating an interesting contrast. Against the backdrop of the ancient pavilions and towers, they resemble dancing notes, playing the summer melody. Walking among them feels like traveling to the misty and rainy Jiangnan, full of poetic charm.
Following the winding path, you will arrive at Chuitai Pavilion located in the waters near West Lake. This pavilion is a classic architectural replica of the famous Shouxihu in Yangzhou. The surrounding lotus pond mainly features white and red lotus flowers. In the summer breeze, with the willows swaying gently and the lotus leaves on the water surface resembling green jade plates, it is full of interest.
Around the Huixin Pavilion on the west side of the park's West Lake, there are various varieties such as Dasajin, Shouxingtao, Chang'e Benyue, Jiaorong Sanbian, Qinghe, and Guifei. These lotus flowers each have their own characteristics, like exquisite paintings, collectively forming a beautiful and unique lotus flower landscape that captivates visitors and immerses them in its beauty.
On the east bank of West Lake, the Fengyu Tongzhou Pavilion and the Huxin Pavilion face each other across the lake, with a lotus pond of over 700 square meters and the surrounding summer flowers jointly painting a colorful and magnificent summer picture.

Bending down is the fragrance of lotus, raising your eyes is life. Yesterday, the Beijing Wenyuhe Park launched the grand opening of the "2025 Wenyu Lotus Season". As the thousands of acres of lotus ponds gradually unfold in the July heat, this place is far more than just a traditional lotus viewing area. Step into the poetic Hangzhou Garden and Remembering Jiangnan, have a romantic date with lotus flowers, and unlock the fresh and elegant beauty code of this summer.
The tranquil Hangzhou Garden, the scenery is like the perfect match of light makeup and heavy makeup on the West Lake shore.
