Ming City Wall Ruins Park

The Ming City Wall, originally spanning approximately 40 kilometers, was first built in the 17th year of the Yongle reign (1419). The remaining 1.5-kilometer section from Chongwenmen to the southeastern corner tower is the last preserved stretch of the Ming City Wall and a landmark of the capital. The park's iconic southeastern corner tower, constructed in the first year of the Zhengtong reign (1436), stands at the junction of the eastern and southern city walls and is the largest surviving corner watchtower from Ming-dynasty Beijing. Rich in history, the park's landscape offers profound cultural significance. The southeastern corner tower is also available for hosting branded events.
